Poptropica Mobile Apps
Poptropica has recently made a foray into mobile apps for iOS and Android. Here, I describe each one and (in the future) give reviews for each one.
This is the official mobile version of Poptropica. You can play it like regular Poptropica (but with a new tap-to-target feature), and it only supports modern islands (the ones with sound). Importing your desktop Poptropican's look and common rooms have been implemented. All islands are now free to download on it.

Released: December 2011 (but updated constantly). Offers illustrated guides of many popular and new islands, with text commentary. Most of them cost $0.99 per island/episode, but some are free (originally all were free). Talk to the inhabitants of various mix-and-match islands (islands made up of pieces of normal islands) and go on mainly fetch quests for them. Pick up coins to customize your character along the way. The goal is to collect the 6 ancient artifacts, which tell Poptropica's story. This story is completely different from the Early Poptropica story.

Play remixes of Astro-Knights, Mythology, and Super Power Islands with minigames. Along the way, you find artifacts to return to the Museum Island.
