The Creators

Who are these mysterious creators you see on the Creator's Blog? Are they real people? Well, do enough googling, poking around and Avatar Studioing, and you'll soon find that there's plenty to know about them. Here's my research so far; links to people's names are pages that show their connection to Poptropica, and other proof links show that they are a certain Poptropican.
  • Comic Kid or Captain Crawfish (Jeff Kinney) is the founder of Poptropica. Last page of his Diary of a Wimpy Kid books say that he created Poptropica.com. Come on, we've all read those books. Don't be embarrassed.
  • Dr. Hare (Jordan Leary) is the head designer and developer, and he works on programming, animation, etc.
  • Shark Boy (Nate Greenwall) works as an illustrator and interactive designer. (proof 1 / proof 2). He was renamed to Shark Guy shortly before all traces of him being deleted, who knows why?
  • Director D (James Lema). His Twitter profile reads, "Maker of Games. Teller of Stories. Pusher of Pixels. Former Poptropican."
  • Black Widow (Jennifer Wood), marketing/strategy
  • Hades (Mitch Krpata) writer, developer (proof needed)
  • Hazmat Hermit (Justin Lacy), programmer
  • Zeus (Jess M. Brallier) is the publisher of Poptropica (proof), and is probably also a developer, AND a designer. He runs the official Poptropica Worldwide twitter account (proof).
  • Master Mime (Jon Pitcher) is a designer, illustrator, and animator for Poptropica.
  • Nate Tufts another illustrator/designer
  • Ashley Lange 2D designer
  • Nasan Hardcastle creates artwork for Poptropica.
  • Max Brallier
  • Lisa Wolfe, communications for Poptropica (proof)
  • Cara Campanelli - Handles customer support (Sometimes she answers you if you submit something on their Contact Form. I know her from an email she sent me in response to a bug report).
  • Kyle Fox and Jeff Heim make the music for Poptropica's new islands.
  • Paul Gilligan and Kory Merritt make the Poptropica comic
  • Binary Bard
  • Thirsty Whale (also known as Edmund from Time Tangled)
  • Triton
  • Vlad the Viking (owns the old Poptropica YouTube channel)
Wow, just wow. Being paid to work on such an awesome game, with all these smart people, must be like a dream job for those Creators.
Contact me if I missed anything (which I probably did), or if there's some missing proof you might have!
