Most of you probably weren't alive in the July of 1969. Well, neither was I. Do you know what happened then? The first man landed on the moon, that's what! Neil Armstrong became the first man to set foot on the moon, making history for all of mankind. For that reason, last Sunday was a very sad day. Neil Armstrong passed away at the age of 82, a mere 3 days after the release of Lunar Colony Island. *disclaimer: I am not trying to make a point here... coincidences happen!*
Today, Friday, Neil's family is holding a memorial service for him. Today just happens to be a Blue Moon! A blue moon is the second full moon of a month... extremely rare. Isn't that a better coincidence?

But the villains seem better! Much better! Though I don't particularly recall any of them as having super powers, this new development seems to suggest otherwise.

See that, peeps? This is getting to be serious business! And speaking of which... my school starts in two days. Which will imply a lesser volume of posts and a slower response to new islands. Sorry; can't be helped.

My Lunar Colony Island walkthrough is complete! And that makes this about the tenth time I've completed an island walkthrough the day after it was released. Maybe I should start a "Next Day Guarantee" on my website. Maybe... But back on track... the Members-only Bonus Quest walkthrough should be finished sometime today, or possibly early tomorrow. Poptropica Cheats for Lunar Colony Island [Poptrickia]

Lunar Colony Island is, after a long wait, finally available for Members! Everyone else can play starting September 6th. I'm pretty psyched to get started with this island and write my guide, but --unfortunately-- *ahem* I have a school orientation today and can only play a little bit. But I'll really get started tomorrow, I promise! The guide, however unfinished, is available here.

Oh yeah, and sorry for my last post's... negative... attitude. School stress, you know? Yes. Yes, you do.

This leads me to believe that the next island will be something approaching a villain stand-off. Maybe it's you against all the villains, or all the villains have their own agendas for world destruction/domination and you have to stop them. I don't know. It's too early to tell. I'm tired of speculating what the next island will be. Use your imagination.

Lunar Colony island will be releasing Thursday, August 16; which I can't play because I've got my school orientation that day. If my life gets any more exciting, I will snap.

That's the description of Lunar Colony Island. It seems like you visit the 'abandoned space station' to rescue the 'missing astronaut' and the 'signal from beyond the stars' would be an alien message, or a cry for help (most likely the first one.) If it is, then maybe the 'missing astronaut' has been kidnapped! 'Uncover a mystery as old as the cosmos'? That doesn't make sense... first of all, the moon isn't as old as the cosmos.

And now for the Bonus Quest... You've returned to earth just in time to receive a new transmission. Can you crack the code and translate the alien message? I think you can figure that one out.

DISCLAIMER: My musings above may or not be true, they're just what I thing the game is about.

Ta-da! Don't get it? Okay... Here goes. In the the first one, you'll notice that a very fat boy is on a conveyor belt with chocolate/candy being poured on him.

The fat boy is Augustus Gloop, who gets sucked up a tube in Willy Wonka's factory and ends up inside the machinery in the book.
In the second picture, there is a house in a very bad state of repair shown, with crates of cabbages outside the house.

The house belongs to Charlie's family in the book. Charlie's family is very poor, and they usually eat cabbages three meals a day. Hence, the crates of cabbages outside. They also live in a run-down, tiny house near Willy Wonka's factory.
Understand? Now if you believed me even for a moment back there, you're going to be even angrier when I tell you that the next island may be something completely different, having something to do with art and museums, similar to Counterfeit. Angry now? Hang on I've got more. It might also have something to do with ships and boats. Just look through the recent Daily Pop/Sneak Peek entries before labeling me crazy! (Simply click on the little blue POP icon in the top right of the screen and click Sneak Peeks, then browse around.)
